As a special "thank you" for your service through the Loyal Order of Moose, you’re automatically able to enroll up to a $5,000.00 benefit at NO COST to you.

But as valuable as these COMPLIMENTARY benefits are, many Moose families need even higher benefits. That’s why Moose VIP negotiated EXPANDED cash benefits – giving you more protection against all covered accidents.

And the cost? Members tell us our competitive MooseGUARD group rates are why many choose $50,000.00 EXPANDED accident benefits.

You may also have the option of paying your premiums once a year (annually), twice a year (semi-annually), or four times a year (quarterly). If you pay your premiums monthly, quarterly or semi-annually, the total amount of premiums you pay in a year may be higher than if you make one annual payment. Rates will include a $2.00 administrative fee if paying by credit card or a $1.00 administrative fee if paying by automatic checking withdrawal. Rates and/or benefits may be changed on a class basis.

Your NO COST TO YOU coverage will remain in force for as long as you remain a Moose Member in good standing and Master Policy is in force.

Your Expanded Accident coverage starts the first day of the month after your enrollment form and first premium payment are received. You cannot be singled out for cancellation, a benefit decrease, or an increase in your premiums due to a change in your health or occupation. Rates can only be increased for an entire class of insured persons, not on an individual basis.  Your benefits will continue in full force as long as you pay your premiums on time, remain a Moose member in good standing, and the Master Policy remains in force. Coverage for all insureds (whether member or spouse) will end when the Member reaches age 75.

Your Payment Options:  You have the option of paying your premiums annually, semi-annually, quarterly and monthly. The total amount of premiums you pay in a year may be lower if you make one annual payment.  If you are interested in learning more about these payment options, please refer to your fulfillment package for details.

The MooseGUARD Accident Plan cannot pay a benefit for a loss which is caused by, results from, or contributed by: Suicide, attempted suicide or intentionally self-inflicted injury, while sane or insane (in Missouri and Colorado while sane) declared or undeclared war or any act of war; full-time military service; participating in a riot; committing an assault or felony; sickness or its medical or surgical treatment, including diagnosis; bacterial infection except through wound accidentally sustained; operating or riding in any kind of aircraft except as a fare-paying passenger on a regularly scheduled commercial flight or as a passenger in a transport plane operated by the Air Mobility Command (AMC) of the United States of America; alcohol intoxication, as defined in the state where the accident occurred; taking of any drug, medication, narcotic or hallucinogen, unless as prescribed by a physician; taking of alcohol in combination with any drug, medication or sedative; voluntary gas inhalation or poison voluntarily taken, administered or inhaled; riding or driving as a professional in any kind of race for prize money or profit.

Loss must occur within 365 days of the accident to be covered.

HOW BENEFITS ARE PAID Benefits for loss of life are payable to your beneficiary. If no beneficiary has been named, benefits will be paid to: your spouse; your children; your parents; your siblings; or your estate (in that order). Benefits for loss of your spouse’s life are payable to you.

FULL TERMS AND CONDITIONS ARE IN THE CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE These materials explain the general purpose of the insurance described, but in no way change or affect Master Policy MZ0925572H0000A-1A as actually issued. In the event of a discrepancy between these materials and the policy, the terms of the policy apply. Complete details are in the Certificate of Insurance issued to each insured individual. Benefits may vary and this program may not be available to residents of all states. Some expanded benefits may not be available in all states. Premiums for the no-cost insurance are paid by MooseVIP as a benefit of your membership.
